Specific training for professionals working with the City Council is essential to achieve cultural change in favour of sustainability. The A+S Programme includes training in various areas related to the greening of municipal buildings and services.

It also collaborates in the publication of the “Environmental Education Guides” and other publications and materials designed to raise environmental awareness with the object of extending the examples of greening to other productive sectors. Guides include the Green Office Guide, More Sustainable Hotels and More Sustainable Celebrations.

The programme also shares its experiences through the training created to provide support for the Barcelona's Agenda 21 assignees.
